Who we are and how to contact us

This notice explains how Global Health Alliance uses personal information through ghahealth.com, including its Global, India and United States sections. Global Health Alliance Limited is the UK organisation identified in our website terms. The India Healthcare Education and Training Centre is operated by Fit Heart Matters Pvt. Ltd.

For privacy questions or requests, use our contact page or email info@ghahealth.co.uk. Please identify the course or regional service concerned so your request can be directed to the responsible team. Separate GHA websites and external course providers may have their own privacy notices.

Information we collect

We collect information you provide when you contact us, register interest in a course or create a member account. This may include your name, email address, telephone number, organisation, professional details, selected course and message. Where you enrol in learning activities, account and learning records may include enrolments, progress, assessments and certificates.

Our website also processes technical information needed to operate and protect the service, such as IP addresses, browser information and server logs. Please do not include patient records or identifiable clinical information in general enquiry forms.

How and why we use information

  • To answer enquiries and arrange requested services, including steps taken at your request before a contract.
  • To manage membership, enrolment and learning services and fulfil our agreements with you.
  • To maintain website security, administer records and improve our services, relying on legitimate interests where these are not overridden by your rights.
  • To meet applicable legal obligations and resolve complaints.
  • To send optional marketing communications where you have consented or another lawful basis permits them. You can opt out of marketing or withdraw consent at any time.

Who receives information

Authorised GHA staff and service providers supporting hosting, email, forms and learning administration may process information as needed for these purposes. A relevant regional team or course delivery partner may need your details to handle your enquiry or enrolment. Information may also be disclosed where required by law.

If you follow a link to an external registration form or another website, review the privacy information provided there before submitting your details. International services may involve processing outside your country. Where data protection law restricts an international transfer, appropriate safeguards or another permitted transfer mechanism are required. Contact us for information about the arrangements relevant to your service.

Cookies and embedded content

For our optional Google Analytics integration, cookie durations and consent controls, see the Cookie Policy. Analytics remains inactive until configured and is loaded only with your consent.

WordPress uses cookies for functions such as signing in and remembering account preferences. Login cookies normally last two days, or two weeks if you select “Remember Me”; logging out removes the login cookies. Browser settings let you manage cookies, although blocking essential cookies may prevent account functions from working.

Embedded videos, maps or other third-party content may collect information and use cookies under the provider’s policies. Optional tracking technologies requiring consent should only operate after that consent is given.

How long information is kept

Information is retained for as long as needed for the purpose for which it was collected. Relevant factors include whether an enquiry remains active, whether you maintain an account, the need to verify training or certificates, and applicable legal, accounting or dispute requirements. Backup copies may remain until replaced through the backup cycle. Contact us to ask about retention for a particular record.

Your rights and account deletion

Depending on the law applying to your information, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability, or object to processing. You may withdraw consent without affecting processing already carried out. These rights are subject to applicable conditions and exceptions.

To request account deletion or exercise a right, contact us using the details above, preferably from your account email address. We may need to verify your identity. Some records may need to be retained to meet legal obligations or maintain necessary training records. We will explain any applicable limitation.

You can raise a concern with us and may complain to your relevant data protection authority. In the UK, this is the Information Commissioner’s Office.
