Cookie Policy

About cookies

Cookies are small pieces of information stored by your browser. This policy covers cookies used by ghahealth.com and explains our planned, optional Google Analytics integration. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information and how to contact us.

Essential cookies support requested functions such as signing in and remembering your cookie choices. You can accept or reject optional analytics using the cookie banner. Rejecting analytics does not prevent you from browsing, making enquiries or using your account.

You can also reopen these controls using “Cookie settings” in the footer. We remember your choice for 180 days in this browser. Clearing cookies, using another browser or expiry of your choice may cause the banner to appear again. If you withdraw analytics consent, our integration stops tracking and removes its accessible Google Analytics cookies. Withdrawal does not undo data already sent while you had consented.

Cookie controls require JavaScript. If JavaScript is disabled, our Google Analytics integration does not run.

Essential cookies and preferences

  • gha_cookie_consent: records whether you accept or reject analytics, the choice date and the policy version. Duration: 180 days.
  • gha_account_region: remembers the India or United States account journey you select. Duration: one year.
  • wordpress_test_cookie: checks whether your browser supports cookies when you use the WordPress login. Duration: the browser session.
  • wordpress_logged_in_* and wordpress_sec_*: support authenticated WordPress access. Login normally lasts two days, or two weeks when “Remember Me” is selected. Signing out ends the login.
  • wp-settings-* and wp-settings-time-*: may remember interface preferences for users with access to WordPress administration. Duration: one year.

Some cookies are set only when you use the relevant feature. You can block or delete cookies through your browser, but blocking essential cookies may prevent sign-in or other requested functions from working.

Optional Google Analytics

Google Analytics 4 is planned for the production website. It remains inactive until GHA configures its measurement ID. Once enabled, our integration loads Google Analytics only after you accept analytics cookies; it sends no Google Analytics requests before acceptance or after rejection on a new page. It does not run on our local development or temporary preview domain, or for signed-in visitors.

When enabled and accepted, analytics helps us understand visits and how pages are used. Google processes technical and usage information such as browser and device details, visited pages and referral information. Our integration removes query strings and fragments from the page address and referrer it supplies, and disables advertising signals and advertising personalisation.

  • _ga: distinguishes visitors. Configured duration: up to two years.
  • _ga_*: maintains Google Analytics session information. Configured duration: up to two years.

Analytics cookie expiry may be refreshed during subsequent accepted visits. Google provides details of Google Analytics cookies and how it uses information from partner sites. Processing may take place outside your country; see our Privacy Policy for information about international processing and your rights.

External services

Links to external registration forms and other GHA websites lead to services with their own cookie information and choices. These controls govern this website’s Analytics integration; they do not change preferences on external websites.

Changes and questions

We will update this information when our use of cookies changes. For questions, use our contact page or email info@ghahealth.co.uk.
