The ECG in Emergency Situations – 2 Day

This course is aimed at Healthcare workers who are involved in emergency / critical situations. The ECG in emergency situations, focuses on life limiting /life- threatening arrhythmia interpretation.

The sessions will include:

  • ECG monitoring
  • Life limiting / threatening ventricular arrhythmias
  • Life limiting / threatening atrial arrhythmias
  • Ischaemic heart disease
  • Myocardial Infarction
  • Atrio-ventricular blocks

The sessions will be interactive and provide practical examples of ECG's for interpretation plus case studies to support your learning. An onsite assessment will be provided post course completion.

On successful completion of the course you will be able to demonstrate an understanding of:

  • Practical applications of ECG monitoring (uses and limitations)
  • Identify and assess life limiting / threatening ventricular arrhythmias
  • Identify and assess life limiting / threatening atrial arrhythmias
  • Identify via ECG regions Ischaemic heart disease
  • Identify via ECG regions Myocardial Infarction
  • Identify and assess Atrio-ventricular blocks
